Ko Te Whanau a Ruataupare raua ko Te Whanau a Te Aotawarirangi nga hapu - Our two sub tribes are Te Whanaua a Ruataupare and Te Whanau a Te Aotawarirangi.
Ko Ngati Porou te iwi. - Ngati Porou is our tribe

We are six Y4-5 students at Hatea-a-Rangi School. We are situated on the East Coast of the North Island. We are a coastal area so the beach is our front yard. The closest city is Gisborne which takes an hour and a half to travel to in a car. We are excited about getting to know students at St Clair school in Dunedin. We have looked at our map and Dunedin seems a long way away.......

We will introduce ourselves on this page and provide links to our wikispace. Blogs are new to us so we thought it would be a great way to learn more. Just click on a name to find out more. Please do not hesitate to post us a message

Hello Jayda! we are some of the people from the Room 12 wikispace. We would like to say thank you for setting up a blog page just for us. What are your pet’s names? It is interesting that you call your teachers Koka! Do you know how to weave with flax like your mum?
We will answer your questions

We like to go to the pool, going go carting, and going to the beach.

Some of us like school a little bit do you?

Hi Sidney we are people from St Clair School. We are all different shapes and sizes. We are all different ages. Our group is really friendly. We like to be really nice to the teacher and help people when they are stuck and when they need a partner. We are a friendly group and we do not talk on the mat or when it is silent is quiet.

Our names are Liam Josh Maddy Nicole and Kea we are a class of year 5-6 students. In Dunedin we like to do go-carts, pool, laser force, going to fancy restaurants like the lone star, and the beach. And most of us like school because we get to go on trips and we have a huge library and computer suite.
